Young specialists is the basis of an innovation-based economy
From 22 to 24 May 2014 on the basis of the Chuvash State University of I.N. Ulyanov young Chuvash physicists’ association supported by R&D Center of Thin Film Technologies in Energetics, Solar Energy Russian Manufacturers’ Association, Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University “LETI” of V.I. Ulyanov (Lenin), ran the II All-Russian conference “Nanostructured materials and converting devices for solar energy of third generation» (www.conf-nanosolar.ru). The main objective of the event was to get young scientists, students and graduates of science professions (“hetero-and nanostructures” and “PV”) in basic and applied research in the field of nanostructured materials for solar modules, familiarization with the latest scientific research results and technical solutions for photovoltaic converter based on thin-film nanostructures, as well as qualified personnel training for the high-tech production at the LLC Hevel’ plant.
On the 25th of April Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India in Russia – P. S. Raghavan and Consul General in Saint-Petersburg – Vishwas Sapkal visited R&D Center TFTE LLC, where they acquainted with alternative energy development in Russia through the example thin-film solar modules and pilot projects proceed for the greater conversion efficiency of solar irradiation.
On the 25th of April Representatives of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism of the Republic of Cyprus and chairman of Scientific Committee and Higher Education of Saint-Petersburg – A. S. Maximov visited R&D Center TFTE LLC and inspected pilot line for thin-film solar modules’ production on micromorph silicon, processing equipment for heterostructure solar cells.
During his visit to Saint- Petersburg for Russian Startup Tour organized by the Fund Skolkov, Federal Youth Affairs Agency (Rosmolodezh), JSC RVC, RUSNANO (Infrastructure and Educational Programs Fund), deputy Prime-Minister Arkady Dvorkovich coordinating work in the field of innovation and energy, and Skolkovo President Viktor Vekselberg visited R&D Center TFTE LLC (member of Skolkovo project) the 18 of April and familiarized with the prospects of high-efficiency solar modules through HIT technology (Heterojunction with Intrinsic Thin layers) using R&D Center TFTE LLC’s technological capabilities.
