Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev visited the plant for the production of solar modules “Hevel”, where he got acquainted with the full cycle of solar electric panels production. A map of Russia was shown to Prime Minister where it is planned to place the solar power generation projects using the products of the plant. At present the plant to produce solar panels uses imported glass, as well as French industrial gases. Medvedev was assured that measures are taken to replace the import of these components. Production of the plant is used for the construction of solar power plants in remote areas where the using of self-contained diesel-solar power plants are more efficiently.
Solar cells are made according to this technology, capable to generate electricity even in cloudy weather, which is especially important in the Russian context.
